Advancing causes of immigrants and marginalized groups through access to legal assistance, education and employment resources
Immigration experiences could be enduring, and we are here to support you by doing an intake and connecting you with pro bono attorneys or accredited representatives. Our goal is to also to assist immigrants like you with the citizenship and naturalization process, so we offer English language and civics lessons for the citizenship exam.
Navigating immigration could be complex and stressful and can have lifelong consequences. There is shortage of attorneys and legal representatives to support the vast number of people needing help with immigration matters, especially in the South. Furthermore, there is fraud and notario services not authorized to practice law. Our nonprofit can do an intake and gather the documents you provide, and forward them to larger law firms or other nonprofits to see if they can assist you pro bono, i.e. without fees. WE DO NOT CHARGE ANY FEES FOR INTAKE OR CONNECTING WITH PRO BONO ATTORNEYS OR ACCREDITED REPRESENTATIVES.
Attorneys and accredited representatives that volunteer for this organization provide pro bono service in humanitarian immigration matters to immigrants reaching out to this organization. Pro bono attorneys and accredited representatives carefully examine the cases after intake to determine the best resolution. Immigration matters they assisted with ranged from asylum, withholding of removal, TPS, DACA, adjustment of status or green card applications. Our team at Southern Center for Equity Advancement and Immigrant Refuge and pro bono attorneys and legal representatives are here to support and advocate for you in your immigration process.
Southern Center for Equity Advancement and Immigrant Refuge is a 501(c)(3) federally tax-exempt entity. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
We are one of the few organizations in the South to help you connect with pro bono attorneys and accredited representatives that can guide you through the complexities of immigration. We also provide classes to prepare you for the citizenship exam. Contact us if you need help with the English language and Civics (U.S History and Government) portion of the citizenship and naturalization process. If you need, pro bono attorneys and representatives can also assist with the citizenship application.
